I attended an advance screening of “The Huntsman: Winter\’s War” Saturday afternoon at the Mary Pickford Center in Hollywood. It was a really nice screening with free promotional items, a photobooth, and a Q and A with three of the film’s stars. The event was hosted by Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, and the Q and A was transmitted live to screenings in their theaters across the country. (As an aside, Alamo Drafthouse is planning a theater for Los Angeles to open in 2017.)

I really enjoyed this movie (I can’t say the same for the first one), and it had quite a few funny moments. The costuming is outstanding, once again. The fight sequences were also exciting and fun to watch. That’s all I’ll say about it for now.

The Q&A with Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, and Jessica Chastain was hilarious. I think my favorite part was when they were answering a question about their favorite scene to film. Charlize’s favorite scene were ones she wasn’t in (she’s not in the film much…sorry). She mentions that she was told about the hot springs scene (Hemsworth and Chastain are naked in a hot spring), and about how Jessica\’s breasts are amazing. Charlize went on to say she was told about how Jessica’s breasts are so buoyant that they were difficult to keep out of frame. We were all laughing, including Jessica who was also a bit embarrassed. Charlize just said that she was jealous because 4 costumers had stuffed tissue in her bra for this film.

Chris Hemsworth said that he was a bit jealous of the fancy fight moves Jessica was doing and wanted to do flips, too.

I’m attending the red carpet premiere for The Huntsman: Winter’s War tonight, and I’m looking forward to seeing it again.
