The Huntsman: Winter’s War Premiere
Los Angeles, CA
April 11, 2016
I had already seen The Huntsman: Winter’s War at a screening the previous Saturday, but premieres can be a lot of fun and this was no exception. We were placed into the fan pit about 20 minutes prior to the star arrivals, and we were given Ice Queen masks and Evil Queen crowns to wear.
I didn’t have a very good view of the carpet from my spot because of the large “poster” on my left. There was a family near me, and I helped the daughter who was about 8-10 years old get pictures taken with the stars.

I was successful in all my attempts except with Emily Blunt, who wasn’t taking pictures with anyone as far as I could see.

When Charlize Theron was in front of us, I yelled “Charlize!” really loud and she looked right at me. I paused for half a second, then pointed to my right and asked, “Could you take a picture with her?” She looked to where I was pointing and smiled as she walked over to the little girl and took a selfie with her. I have to say that Charlize Theron is exceptionally stunning in person. Just, wow.

I also managed to get Chris Hemsworth and Jessica Chastain to take selfies with the little girl. She was too shy to yell for the celebs so I was just trying to help her out. I’m so glad we were successful. The truth is that celebs are much, much more inclined to sign and/or take pictures with kids at premieres because there are so few kids there.

We were given our tickets pretty late and I didn’t get to my seat in the balcony until after the movie began, and it was so dark that I couldn’t see the seat, forget the seat number, I couldn’t find where to sit so I wouldn’t fall.

I noticed one of Freya’s (Emily Blunt) costumes on display near the restrooms when I came down the stairs from the balcony. I quickly took a picture before leaving the premiere.

I ended up seeing this movie three times at advance screenings as I won guaranteed seats for another screening the following week. At that screening, they had a few trivia questions, and I won a poster and a $25 Fandango gift card.

I enjoyed this film so much more than its predecessor. What did you think?
